Amira performs with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra 14th June at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh

The Qatar Museums Authority and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra present a Musical Celebration for Qatar UK Year of Culture 2013. 


The culturally diverse programme features Scottish premières by the distinguished Qatari film composer Wael Binali and the renowned British composer David Heath, and favourites by Elgar and Handel.

Qatari film composer, Wael Binali, was educated in Scotland and premieres his epic music with Edinburgh audiences for the first time. Renowned Edinburgh-based composer David Heath writes for the choir of St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Soloists include Guy Johnston who performs Elgar's magnificent Cello Concerto and Amira Fouad performing David Heath's new piano concerto, El Hedeiya (The Gift).

This culturaly diverse concert presents a unique opportunity to hear new music from distinguished composers as well as much-loved classical work.
